Camper financing calculator: typical RV loan terms
RV loans run longer than car loans. Lenders commonly offer 10 to 15 years on larger loans and up to 20 years on big motorhomes, while smaller travel trailers and campers are often limited to 5 to 12 years. A longer term lowers the payment but costs far more interest: Financing $81,300 at 8.5% over 15 years is $801 a month and about $62,800 of interest; over 20 years it's $706 a month and about $88,000 of interest.

Whether you search for an RV camper loan calculator, an RV motorhome loan calculator, a recreational vehicle loan calculator, a recreational vehicle financing calculator, an RV financing loan calculator, an RV camper financing calculator or a rec vehicle loan calculator, the same math covers every type: Class A, B and C motorhomes, fifth wheels, travel trailers, toy haulers and pop-up campers. What changes is the rate and the term the lender allows. New units and bigger loans usually get longer terms; older used campers get shorter terms and higher rates. A recreational vehicle financing quote should show the APR, the term, the amount financed and any dealer add-ons rolled into the loan.
RV interest calculator: can I deduct RV loan interest?
Sometimes. The IRS treats a boat or RV as a qualified home if it has sleeping, cooking and toilet facilities (IRS Publication 936). If the loan is secured by the RV and you itemize, the interest can count as mortgage interest on a second home, within the overall limit for home acquisition debt. With the 2026 standard deduction at $16,100 single and $32,200 joint, most RV owners don't itemize, so check before counting on it.
Sales tax and trade-ins
Most states tax the price minus your trade-in's value; some tax the full price. Untick the box if yours taxes the full price. If you owe more on the trade-in than it's worth, the shortfall is added to the new loan.
