Where the numbers come from
- SEC EDGAR: company filings (8-K, 10-Q, 10-K), the XBRL financial data behind revenue, net income, EPS, margins and cash, and the daily filing index.
- Yahoo Finance: daily closing prices, pre-market prices and the day's biggest movers; headlines shown under “Headlines elsewhere”.
- Nasdaq: the earnings calendar, Zacks consensus EPS, earnings-surprise history, market capitalisation and industry classification.
Rules we follow
- Every number on the site comes from one of the sources above. If a figure is not available, we leave it out rather than estimate it.
- Where we calculate something (a year-over-year change, a fiscal fourth quarter derived from annual minus nine-month totals, a “biggest move since” comparison), it is computed from those same sources.
- We never tell you to buy or sell anything.
