When are Social Security payments in 2026?
SSA pays by birthday: the 1st-10th get paid on the second Wednesday, the 11th-20th on the third Wednesday, and the 21st-31st on the fourth Wednesday. SSI arrives on the 1st, and pre-May-1997 beneficiaries get paid on the 3rd. Holiday and weekend dates move to the business day before.
Why is the November 2026 Social Security payment early?
The second Wednesday of November 2026 is November 11, Veterans Day, a federal holiday. Under SSA's rule, that payment moves to the business day before, Tuesday, November 10.
